The objective of the DCHC Craft Sponsored project was to create inclusive business models for Warli tribal communities in Jawhar district, Maharashtra. Aimed to enhance livelihood opportunities for Warli artists by supporting their traditional skills, providing market linkages in cultural industries, & designing new products for the craft. Through research, workshops, & field experiences, a set of educational toys using new educational ideologies were developed. Factors such as early-stage skill development, trends in education, market dynamics in the existing toy industry, shipping & packaging considerations, & leveraging school contacts for sales were carefully examined. Its in the phase of expanding its reach in the urban Indian market based on the high demand for handmade toys. Feedback from stakeholders and consumers was collected through interactions with schools & local stores.
